Big Planet Media reports that sorting of the rainbow trout will be a major task in the recovery of the Bennett Spring hatchery after the historic winter flooding event. Waters rose to over ten feet Saturday night, well above the approximate 2 feet normal as the park withstood over eight inches of rain. Present levels are about 3.5 feet as waters recede and uncover the raceways. Shawn Kober talks with Hatchery Manager. Please see the Gage House page for daily stream levels.
